AnneMarie
Malysz

I build the teams, systems and solutions that make businesses work better.

I bring together people, process, technology and creative thinking to solve complex business problems. Over the course of my career, I’ve built and led multidisciplinary teams, developed products and platforms, improved how work gets done, and helped people grow into roles and capabilities they didn’t always see in themselves.

THE THROUGH-LINE

Design taught me to understand the user.

Product taught me to solve the right problem.

Operations taught me how to solve it at scale.

Leadership taught me how to connect all three to the business.

WHAT I DO

I work across the
entire experience.

My role is often the connective tissue—bringing together the customer need, the business case, the people, the process and the technology required to deliver it.

NO STANDARD PLAYBOOK

I do my best work when
the answer isn’t obvious.

The problems I’m usually asked to solve don’t fit neatly into one discipline. They cross teams, systems, suppliers, technologies and business requirements—and often there isn’t an established playbook.

That’s where my background becomes especially useful. I can move between the customer experience, the people doing the work, the technology supporting it and the business behind it to figure out what actually needs to change.

The hardest problems don’t respect organizational boundaries.

SELECTED WORK

Four business problems.
Four better ways to work.

01 / OPERATIONS + AI

Reducing
Turn Times

How can we make complex pricing faster without losing the judgment that protects scope and margin?

THE REAL COMPLEXITY

This is not simply estimating development hours. The work can combine internal labor, production specifications, materials, outside suppliers, quantities, fulfillment, shipping, client-specific pricing and margin requirements.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

Complex client programs require detailed scoping across creative, development, print, signage, documentation, catalogs, brochures, direct mail, boxing and kitting, fulfillment, shipping and specialized suppliers. Building a reliable estimate could take nearly a week of research, consultation and back-and-forth.

WHAT I LED

Concepted and prototyped an AI-assisted pricing and scoping approach that brings historical project knowledge, role requirements, client pricing structures and business rules into a more consistent starting point. I defined how the workflow should think about scope and risk, tested its output against real work, and kept human review where experience and judgment matter.

02 / AI + ENTERPRISE EXPERIENCE

Working
Smarter

How can AI reduce repetitive evaluation work while respecting enterprise rules and keeping people in control?

THE DIFFERENCE

The hard part was not proving that a model could score a video. It was designing an approach an enterprise client could actually approve and use.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

Video-based learning competitions can require reviewers to evaluate large numbers of submissions against detailed criteria and still provide meaningful coaching. The process was labor intensive, but simply handing evaluation to AI would introduce new questions around accuracy, PII, data handling, client systems and human accountability.

WHAT I LED

Led the exploration and solution direction, partnering closely with a developer to prototype and test different models and methods for rubric scoring, content review and feedback development. I brought the client and industry context into the design—defining business rules, anticipating data and PII concerns, navigating OEM-specific systems and policies, and identifying where human judgment needed to remain.

DESIGNING FOR THE REAL ENVIRONMENT

Enterprise adoption depends on more than model performance.

03 / PRODUCT + CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT

Continual
Evolution

How do you turn an outdated process into a product—and stay close enough to the work to keep finding the next better way?

16 YEARS OF PRODUCT STEWARDSHIP

This is not a launch story. It is a long-term pattern of listening, questioning, building, learning and evolving as customers, technology and expectations change.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE SAME MINDSET

One question removed one full day.

While working directly in our email deployment process, I spotted a redundant step, questioned why it existed and worked across departments to remove it.

1 FULL DAY removed from every campaign
WHERE IT STARTED

When I first became involved, video competitions relied on Flip cameras mailed to participants, flash drives returned with footage and Excel spreadsheets for scoring. Because I was close to the actual work, the friction was obvious: too many physical handoffs, too much manual administration and an experience that was difficult to scale.

WHAT I CHANGED

I helped drive the move from that physical process to a scalable video engagement platform and have continued shaping it for 16 years. My involvement spans customer needs, product strategy, experience design, development leadership, QA, program operations, commercialization and the continual identification of what should change next.

04 / GLOBAL OPERATIONS + SUPPLIERS

Reducing
Redundancies

How can we remove repetitive handling from a global workflow without sacrificing control?

DESIGN THE HANDOFF

Sometimes the opportunity is not a new product. It is redesigning the movement of work between people, systems and outside partners.

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM

Global eLearning content moved between development and an external translation partner across 14 languages. Manual copy-and-paste created repeated handling, unnecessary effort, inconsistency and more opportunity for error every time content crossed the handoff.

WHAT I LED

Worked across development and our translation partner to redesign the workflow around structured JSON export/import. The new approach changed how content moved between systems, reduced manual handling and created a more scalable, quality-controlled model for multilingual production.

LEADERSHIP & BUSINESS IMPACT

Building the business
behind the work.

Growth and delivery are connected. I build the operating structure that lets creative, technical and production teams deliver complex physical and digital work while meeting customer, financial and business commitments.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

Build the team.
Then help it grow.

Some of the work I’m most proud of isn’t a product or process. It’s recognizing what people can become, creating the opportunity for them to stretch, and building an environment where strong people want to stay.

TEAMS UP TO 30Multidisciplinary leadership across creative, development, QA, production and operations
LOW TURNOVERLong-term team stability built through trust, opportunity, coaching and clear expectations
EARLY-CAREER DEVELOPMENTMentoring associates and coaching college students as they identify strengths, direction and next steps

“I wouldn’t be where I am if you hadn’t seen something in me that I didn’t see in myself—and given me a chance.”

— Former employee
HOW I LEAD

I look for strengths that may not be obvious on a résumé or in someone’s current role. When I see potential, I give people meaningful opportunities to use it—then coach, support and challenge them as they grow. That same approach helps me build teams with complementary strengths rather than simply filling seats.

HOW I WORK

Stay close.
Question everything.

I don't lead operations only from reports and status meetings. I stay close enough to the work to understand how it actually gets done. That proximity exposes unnecessary handoffs, duplicated effort and process gaps that are easy to miss from a distance.

01GET CLOSE TO THE WORK

Understand the real process, not just the documented one.

→
02QUESTION THE PROCESS

Ask why a step exists and who it actually serves.

→
03FIND THE FRICTION

→
04DESIGN A BETTER WAY

→
05PROVE + SCALE IT

LET’S CONNECT

Working on something that
doesn’t fit neatly into a box?

Those are usually the problems I find most interesting. If the challenge crosses people, process, technology, customer experience or operations—and the answer isn’t immediately obvious—I’d like to hear about it.
